The American Academy of Family Physicians is recommending against performing prostate-specific antigen (PSA)-based screening for prostate cancer in asymptomatic men, a position that is in line with a final recommendation from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) that was published May 22 in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
