Marine omega-3 supplementation appears to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease according to this meta-analysis.

Comment: The range of benefit seems to be in the range of about 5% and possibly up to as high as 10%. This is an intresting study in that it looked at supplementation (as opposed to dietary fish consumption) and found a benefit.
