This study of 479 children (avg age 14 yrs) referred to an outpatient clinic and undergoing holter monitoring found that 74 had inappropriate sinus tachycardia. Fish oil supplementation was associated with a decrease in inappropriate sinus tachycardia and an increase in heart rate variability.

Comment: An increase in heart rate variability is generally considered to be beneficial.
