An analysis of Twitter activity at 13 medical conferences found that commercial tweets were highly influential and biased the reporting on the evidence-based science from the conference. Comment: One way to keep medical conference tweets more unbiased would be to disallow any company from tweeting with the conference hashtag. If they do, then they would be banned from attending the conference next year.
