This study found that as steps per day increased, blood pressure decreased. The study documented steps per day by having participants wear an Apple watch. The relationship was very mild, however, with an additional 1000 steps a day associated with a 0.45 point drop in blood pressure.

Comment: Walking is healthy for you, but it will not lower your blood pressure to any significant degree. Weight loss, a low salt diet, and medications are much more effective at blood pressure control.
