This study of 99 patients with novel coronavirus found: a) men more likely than women to get disease, b) most common presenting symptoms were fever (83% of pts), cough (82%), and dyspnea (31%); c) most pts showed bilateral pneumonia on imaging (75%); d) 17% developed acute respiratory distress syndrome and of these 65% died (this equaled 11% of all patients). Overall, novel coronavirus was found to most likely affect older males with comorbidities.
