GENERAL TREATMENT OF MI: defib as necessary; ASA; ACE inhibitor within 24h. Nitrates for pain. PO beta blockers if no CHF. Statin. Thrombolysis: only for ST elevation MI or new LBBB, AND only if PCI not available in approx 90 max and no contraindications (use a checklist). If > 12 hrs then no thrombolysis. PCI: STEMI within 12 hours of onset.
