Blockchain technology can create an immutable record of transactions, a valid ledger of events. Using a blockchain to verify that scientific data is not being manipulated may help advance scientific integrity.

Comment: Sadly, scientists have been known to manipulate data in an effort to gain fame, notoriety, or job advancement. An independent blockchain has the capability to provide proof of endpoints in clinical trials, and potentially strengthen the value and accuracy of medical research.
